Gaining Global Recognition

Having travelled from Borneo, Malaysia, Cheryl set up Makan Bites at the end of 2020. Recognising that there was a fantastic opportunity for the marketing of South East Asian food and beverage products, she specialised in retail, wholesale and distribution.

Making the most of her varied career experience and managerial skills, Cheryl has taken Makan Bites from strength to strength; rapidly building a presence across such countries as the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

The story so far

The popularity of Makan Bites has been reflected in the number of five-star reviews and feedback across such platforms as Facebook and Google Business. Contracts have also been forged with well-known brands, placing increased focus on the wholesale side of the business. The growth looks set to continue, with Makan Bites being recognised as one of the major players in the market.

Having expanded to focus on B2B Makan Bites is now offering a market entry consultancy service, helping international companies, brand owners and manufacturers to capitalise on opportunities within the UK and European markets.
Working with a variety of international government agencies and organisations (including those of Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore) we continue to match businesses and buyers through our platform.
With our warehouse in Sleaford, Lincolnshire (UK), Makan Bites has been appointed as the UK agent for Fama Malaysia (Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority) and the German distributor for S2 products (Malaysian brand) in Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
We maintain our focus on the management and implementation of global expansion and trade marketing plans; creating promotional campaigns and exploring new international alliances for brands and manufacturers. Building highly valuable connections with business-related agencies governing bodies, suppliers and buyers; we enable international business growth.
